>(^-^)><(^-^)

I haven't blogged in the past few days
cuz I've been playing Pulitzer-to-be-awarded journalist,
for my research.

I have been talking to designers and they have let me in their studios and their own worlds,
sharing thoughts and feelings.
This is an AMAZING experience. Note that I said "experience". I love them.
I am a little jealous as well.

What I see is people who are optimistic. And you know what?
If you are a creative person, you cannot but be optimistic!
To create, you have to be able to believe in future.
Cuz future can bring change.
And change is what you want.
And towards this direction, you need Friends!
So, you need all the help you can get.
And all the help you can give.

Meeting designers has been an Apocalypse to me.
Valuable input and off-the-360-degrees perspective.
You gotta love'em.

*busted*

Fatal(e) as in "femme" or as in "accident"?

Well, that's a first!

Okay, I was having breakfast and I decided to go with vasilopita, the traditional cake we eat in Greece on New Year's day. I was chomping on my bite when I realized I was also trying to chomp the flouri, as well. (hahaha)
The flouri is -traditionally- a coin wrapped in foil, then put in the vasilopita cake and if you pick the piece with the flouri, you get bonus credits of luck for the new year!

We had already done this whole thing, but my mum had made a second vasilopita cake as well and, turns out, she had forgotten to slip in a memo "Watch your bite- Flouri #2 is still MIA".

I suppose I still get the bonus luck credits, right?

Down the rabbit hole!

...writing the research section of my *you know what*, of course.
High highs and loop-ey loops. No lows, really.
Just down the rabbit hole!

[Pluuus, having all this miscalculated quantity of sirene-calling leftover food
from yesterday's party, doesn't help a lot, either.
But I do drink water, mind you. Litres.
I know my treadmill has missed me, is it okay if I haven't?]

A bit of "sharing .. and giving.." #Joey Tribbiani

So, uhm..
yeah

I could start taking all kinds of groovy, conceptual or sophisticated pictures of Athens BUT
to be honest, I thought that I should just start sharing the ones I often take using my cell phone

Unpretentious and original.
Because, truth is, I am not going to climb over a hill to get me (or you, for that matter)
the prettiest photo of a very busy street, because, normally, this is not what you get when you are walking down the street.
Not always, at least.

So, I'm going to stick with REAL and see what comes of it
NYE, Kolonaki: To get the feeling, there is loud Xmas music on and half of the people you see in this picture are standing, having a drink at the cafeteria on your left. The other half are looking for another spot, presumably. [This is a picture of one of the main streets of Kolonaki- Tsakalof Street (stores and cafeterias, mainly). It was taken at 18.oo, that was closing time for all the stores] I took this picture because THERE WAS SO MUCH ENERGY, can you feel it?

The National Garden of Athens (formerly, the Royal Garden): It doesn't rain a lot in Athens and, when it does, we all run around covered below huge umbrellas in panic, heads down to protect our faces (=make-up, for the ladies -GUILTY AS CHARGED); on the day this picture was taken I was, too, but, for some reason I raised my eyes and saw this. Is it not beautiful?
Outside the Hilton hotel (I was going for the taxi congestion until I aimed a little higher- Moral: Keep your heads up!)

One question :)

What things make you smile? :)

I feel like I've slept for a year--Oh, sh#$%

GOOD MORNING 2012!

We have all been waiting for you..Please take a comfortable seat.
Here's some wine- to relax
Do you need anything else? Okay, let's start.

Please tell us some things about yourself.
Oh, if you'll excuse us ..doctor-patient confidentiality issues!
*closes door*

[exeunt]

(laughs)
(pause)
(laughs again)

45' later:
(sweeping eyes) Oh, my God, '12! So nice to have met you!
I was a little worried, but.. (notices audience).. *coughs*
Have a nice day!
(whispers)
HAHAHAHA OH-MY-GOD, 12!!!
